Stewart lab awarded Improving Teacher Quality grant! - February 12, 2015

The Stewart lab, in collaboration with the The Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics & Computing (CEISMC) at Georgia Tech, has been awarded a grant from the state of Georgia Improving Teacher Quality program to fund a new teacher training workshop, The Summer Workshop in Marine Science (SWiMS). The workshop, to be held at Georgia Tech June 15-19, 2015, uses marine science research as a tool for enhancing high school Earth and Life Science education. Participation is open to local high school science educators, specifically targeting schools in high need local education agencies of Fulton and DeKalb Counties Schools.
